Another important thing to note is that frozen fruits are very cold and if you drink the juice that cold, you might shock your whole digestive system and end up harming your health. This is why it is recommended to thaw the frozen fruits before putting them in a juicer.

Who wouldn’t like strawberry juice on a cold winter morning? However, frozen fruits require special measures before you can put them in the juicer.
You should note that, on average, these frozen packages travel more than 1500 miles before they reach your local market. This is why we recommend the following before you buy and juice frozen fruits:
- If you are buying frozen fruits, try to buy a package with loose pieces and not solid ones
- In order to get more nutritional value, look for frozen fruits that are free of additives
- Many manufacturers freeze fruits not long before they expire so look out for that
What about the nutritional value and outcome of juicing frozen fruits?
It is possible for the nutritional composition and nutritional value of frozen fruits to get altered. However, it is only specific to different types of fruits. Many nutrients are almost impossible to get lowered and iron is a great example of this.

So, how do you juice frozen fruit?
In order to get the highest quality and most nutritional juice, we recommend the following process before putting frozen fruit in the juicer:
#1. Try to thaw the frozen fruits and vegetables
Too solid frozen vegetables and fruits can damage the blades of your juicer. Thawing frozen fruits reserve the moisture that drains and you can adjust the consistency of the juice afterward. This is why we recommend putting the frozen fruits in the sink under running water for around 20 minutes.
As the fruits and vegetables are thawing, you will see that their cell walls start collapsing. This will give you a texture that is rather mushy and hardly useful for cooking. However, for juicing, it is the perfect technique.
#2. Before putting them in the juicer, try making a puree of them
You can puree the already-thawed fruits in a food processor or blender. This way, you can easily extract the juice from them. However, if your juicer is strong with more than 2000 rounds per minute, you can puree your fruit in it straight out of the package without thawing.
#3. Cut them in small pieces and try not to peel them
Peeling some of the fruits and vegetable results in lowering their nutritional value as many of their nutrients are found in their skin. For example, apples or carrots should be juiced with their skin.
In order to extract more juice, you should try cutting them into pieces that are around 1 cubic centimeter in size.
